I haven't been able to check with my friend as she didn't know the password for her husband's iTunes account and therefore wasn't able to purchase the app. I am too scared to try accessing my Google Drive on her Apple TV in case it then doesn't work for her either. Both of us are using the latest Apple TVOS. Mum just told me that she can access her Google Drive using the Eas圜loud app on her Apple TV without problem. I tried the new free Eas圜ould app, which looks identical to the "pro" app that I paid something like $5 for. I thought therefore that maybe the app I was using had been replaced by one of the new Eas圜loud apps. I know last week there were only two Eas圜ould apps as I went to instal the one I used on a friend's Apple TV. In going to reinstall the app today I noticed that there are quite a number of different Eas圜loud apps for different combinations of cloud services. After considerable waiting, it kicks me out of the app and back to the Apple TV home page. When I tried to access my Google Drive through the app last night and today, it showed a spinning wheel and “Authenticating your Account. At the time I didn't have the time to muck around it. My problem suggests a software problem but what? Would installing Big Sur and 14.3 be the solution?Ī couple of days ago the app asked me for an access code when I tried to access my Google Drive through it. I have total success streaming my personal library with Catalina and tvOS14.2 via my 4th and 5th gen boxes. I can't help wonder if installing Big Sur would resolve the streaming issue with iOS14.3. I have tried all sorts of troubleshooting and did find that I can stream a movie from my personal library to my 4K box if I start the movie from my iMac but again I cannot control it with my remote. ![]() In fact I am able to steam videos from my personal TVShows library, Amazon Prime, Apple Movies via my 4K box. I installed a 4th gen Apple box running tvOS14.2 and was able to stream my library. The Menu button would allow me to get back to the main screen but I was unable to get back to the movie to start it again.Īs for streaming 4K content from my purchased videos from Apple, no problem. A few videos actually did play but my remote was useless because I could not pause the movie. I got may strange visual problems such as black screen, spinning wheel followed by black screen, spinning wheel followed by a timeline bar that doesn't progress, a timeline bar with a blank box at zero, a timeline bar followed by blank screen.
